Exklusiv in Deutschland! Jeffrey Cohen, der Sohn des legendären Musikers Leonard Cohen, wird im April einen ROCKASANA!™ Workshop im Studio Frankfurt/City geben.

Biography

Jeffrey Cohen is a devoted student of Jivamukti Yoga for over fifteen years and is co-director of the Jivamukti Yoga School in Charleston, SC. He teaches yoga worldwide and has been an integral part of the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training Program for the past several years as lead mentor and facilitator. Jeffrey is known to inspire, nurture and motivate with a unique aptitude for revealing the mystical depths of the yoga teachings in a relevant, accessible way. Also, as a songwriter he is featured with Krishna Das, Jai Uttal, and MC Yogi, on an album produced by Yoga Journal Germany.

Open Class Description

All levels. Consisting of flowing vinyasa sequences, meditation, Sanskrit chanting, yoga philosophy, incredible hands-on assists, pranayama (breathing techniques) and deep relaxation. Includes seated, standing, balances, forward and back bends, twists & inverted postures, with optional advanced variations, exploration, wall work, etc. Eclectic music plays an integral role, with amazingly crafted soundtracks including such artists as Michael Franti, MC Yogi, Krishna Das, The Beatles, and great World Music.

Our ability to tap into our vibrating hearts is increased exponentially through the pounding rhythms and driving guitar riffs of the world’s most inspiring rock ‘n roll. From the masters; The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, and The Who to the legion of other artists that have saved the lives of countless millions through the transcendental power of music. In this class, we’ll explore the powerful Nada Yoga (yoga of sound) of rock n’ roll and tap into the cosmic force that soars us beyond our capacities with the greatest of ease. We’ll turn up the volume to let the sound current penetrate and dissolve the armor between ego and the Cosmic Self. You’ ll come away feeling like Neo from The Matrix, with a profound knowing of Nada Brahma – the solid world revealed in its true nature of shimmering wavelengths of rhythm & resonance.
Knowledge of postures and Jivamukti Yoga sequences suggested.
