Biography

In January 2010, Will became the first Advance Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher in the East Asia Region. Since graduating from the 350+-hr Jivamukti Yoga teacher training at the Omega Institute in New York in 2007, Will has been passionately serving all yogis in Hong Kong and across Asia.

As a practicing Buddhist, Will has intense desire to serve all devotees that tread the path toward enlightenment. Ahimsa (non-violence) is Will’s prime practice, deeply inspired by the relentless stance of spiritual and political activism that is adopted by Sharon Gannon and David Life. The compassionate heart and intense loving kindness towards all beings that flow from his gurus’ hearts inspires Will to seek equality, equanimity and oneness of being in all his practices.

Description

Karma Yoga is selfless service. This practical method for reducing suffering in the world is the foundation of all yoga practice. When we are suffering from self-pity and loneliness, a surefire cure is to care more for others and the reduction of their suffering. When we shift our thoughts away from our own suffering, it diminishes. When an action is selfless, it leads to future good karma and eventually to liberation. As yogis seeking liberation, therefore, we strive to perfect our actions. The law of karma is a universal doctrine, operating as surely as the law of gravity. If you plant a seed in the ground, the karma of the seed is to grow. If you throw something up in the air, the karmic result is for it to come down.

Therefore it is vitally important for our understanding and eventually towards the understanding of emptiness, because every opportunity for an action could be an action for liberation. The more we understand emptiness, the less upset we will get when something unexpected or unpleasant happens to us. Misperceiving our world is the cause of all our pain. Behind every moment of sadness or frustration, anger or disappointment, there lies a kind of ignorance at its root. So if we could attack our problems at the very source, if we could rip out the very root of our ignorance, we could be free of all pain forever.
